Transatlantic paddle steamer

Victorian illustration to download showing a picture of a transatlantic paddle steamer, the Cunard ship Scotia, in heavy seas. In 1871 (the date of this picture) the Scotia was the largest steamer on the Atlantic at 4,000 tons, 400 feet long, and carrying about 250 passengers.
