Snow falling in the country

Victorian illustration to download showing three sisters outside a thatched country cottage enjoying the first fall of winter snow; they look up and hold up their hands to the snowflakes. Their mother watches from inside the cottage. Behind is a tumbledown thatched barn. Trees arch overhead, and in the distance is a church. This illustration was engraved in 1859 from a picture by the popular artist and illustrator Myles Birket Foster (1825-99).
