Scottish gamekeeper with his dogs

Victorian illustration to download showing a picture of a Scottish gamekeeper wearing a kilt and tam o’shanter. He and his three dogs (retrievers) are surrounded by dead game – birds and hares. This engraving is after the painting ‘Scotch Gamekeeper’ by Richard Ansdell (1815-85), a successful animal and genre painter. This painting was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1855.
