Oxford and Cambridge boat race

Victorian illustration to download showing a picture of the Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race. The two boats are watched by a large crowd on the river bank and in paddle steamers and rowing boats. The race has been held on the Thames between Putney and Mortlake since 1829. Oxford was the winner in the year of this illustration – 1852.
