Victorian illustration to download showing the Crystal Palace being built (1851). A team of six cart horses (heavy horses) raise the cast iron roof trusses. Encouraged by their handlers, they pull a cable which operates a pulley system. High above them two workmen wait for the truss to reach them. In the background workmen in cradles work on the roof structure.
